Twelve episodes, one released each month, runtime approximately 30 to 60 minutes each.
Not everyone can make the time to visit our campus here on the coast of Maine. So we're bringing our boat shop to you. You'll get to know the instructors, and School Director, Rich Hilsinger over the course of the coming year. And you'll receive first-rate instruction on a myriad of wooden boat related topics. We begin the season with an in-depth look at boat plans. The March episode is all about making and setting up station molds. And in the future, you'll follow along as we show you how to cut a rabbet in a stem, spile planks, fit thwarts, how steam boxes work, building spars, making hand tools, half-hull models, and more. This is not a gloss-over smattering of info, but instead the nitty-gritty from the perspective of folks who have been at it on a daily basis for quite some time.

WoodenBoat’s pedigree is so strong it hardly bears mentioning, but if you’re new to the field, WoodenBoat is responsible for the industry-leading magazine of the same name, the excellent sister publication Small Boats Magazine, a school, and several other offshoots. The Mastering Skills series will take the form of monthly streamable episodes hosted by boatbuilding experts like Greg Rössel, Milo Stanley, and Eric Dow. — blogpost, Bear Mountain Boats
